CLEVELAND — Progressive announced Thursday morning the City of Cleveland will soon be home to thousands of more jobs as the company expands this year across the country.

The insurance company plans to hire a total of 10,000 workers across Austin, Colorado Springs, Phoenix, Sacramento, Tampa and Cleveland.

The Cleveland job positions range from multi-product sales, analyst roles, sales, customer service, marketing, and claim roles.

The company offers flexible working arrangements such as the ability to work from home or compressed work weeks for some jobs.

Cleveland has the largest number of open positions available, coming in at 2,000 jobs.

New hires will be able to take part in the company's annual bonus plan as well as enroll in medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.

The company offers paid parental leave for parents including same-sex partners, adoptive and foster parents.

“This is the largest hiring forecast in Progressive’s history,” said Chief Human Resources Officer, Lori Niederst. “We are excited to add hardworking talent to our team who are interested in a career with Progressive. For decades, we’ve been developing people who started in jobs like these into successful business athletes who rise to our leadership ranks. In fact, our CEO started as a Claims rep and I joined Progressive as an Analyst.”
