CLEVELAND — A Cleveland police officer was treated for a minor injury early Friday morning after he hit his head on the window of a car that fled from authorities.

According to Cleveland police, the incident happened around 4 a.m. on Payne Avenue near East 13th Street.

Police said that officers located a 2016 Nissan Maxima stopped in the road. When officers approached the vehicle, they noticed what appeared to be vomit on the road by the driver's door and the occupant sleeping inside.

After police woke the driver up, the man put the car in gear and drove into two police cruisers and then fled the scene. Authorities said that one of the officers hit his head on his cruiser's window. He was taken to a nearby hospital and later released.

The Nissan's driver has not been located.
