A Cleveland man says he was stabbed by his ex-girlfriend Tuesday evening after she came to his residence to find him with another woman.

According to Cleveland police, the 54-year-old man had a female guest at his home on East 103rd Street around 7 p.m when his ex-girlfriend allegedly barged into his home and expressed that she was upset because of the other woman.

The ex-girlfriend and the man became engaged in a verbal argument that then escalated, the man told police. The woman then took out a pocket knife and started swinging it at him, he said.

As he pushed her away, he was cut on his hands and stabbed in the knee, according to police.

The man said he ran to the Cleveland Clinic and then was transported to University Hospital by EMS.

The woman has not yet been charged.

Cleveland police are investigating.
