Police looking for man wanted for aggravated robbery at gas station on Denison Avenue in Cleveland

CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are asking for help from the public to identify a man wanted in an aggravated robbery at Gas USA on Denison Avenue in Cleveland, according to a Facebook post for the Second District Community Relations Committee.

On Oct. 23 at 6:35 a.m., a woman was pumping gas at Gas USA, 6501 Denison Avenue, when a man approached her and demanded that she give him a ride while showing her a Taser in his pocket, according to police.

The man entered the passenger’s seat of the woman's car and demanded she get in the car with him. While driving him, the man told her to stop the vehicle, at which point he took her backpack and fled west on Denison Avenue.

The unknown man is described by police as wearing a gray hoodie, black pants, an Indians hat and Nike shoes. He is described as being in his mid-20s with a scruffy beard.
