Two men were robbed and one of them was struck in the face with a hammer during a home invasion in Cleveland Tuesday night.
Police say one of the victims, a 46-year-old man, was sitting in his living room on West 112th Street around 10 p.m. waiting for a friend to arrive when two unknown men entered the home through and unlocked door.
One of the men reportedly asked "Where's the money?"
When the robbery victim stood up, one of the suspects allegedly hit him in the face with a hammer. He fell over, and the suspect took his wallet with $500 in it and then took his cell phone, according to police. They then duct taped his mouth shut and his hands together.
The second victim was in his bedroom when he heard the commotion in the living room. One man entered his room, threatened him with a knife and then stole $300 from him, according to police.
The suspects allegedly told the second victim that the first victim "owed them a lot of money" and had "touched a family member," according to police.
The first victim was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.
The suspects were described as two white males between 5-foot 9-inches and 5-foot 10-inches tall. One of the men has missing teeth and tattoos on both eyelids which may have read "f*** you," according to police.
