CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection to a felonious assault shooting and road rage incident that left a 6-month-old boy and a pregnant woman with injuries over the weekend.
On Saturday, police received a call for a report of a female shot in the leg and a boy shot in the back.
The driver told police he was with his sister, his 6-month-old baby and his child’s mother when they pulled into a gas station at East 116th Street and Union to buy some food. After stopping at the gas station, they went to another nearby store. The driver heard multiple gunshots as he pulled out of the parking lot.
As the driver continued north on East 116th Street, a man driving a new model black vehicle pulled up next to him on his driver’s side, yelling that he had hit his car.
According to the police, the driver of the black vehicle cut off the vehicle with the woman and baby inside and started shooting.
As the driver got away from the suspected shooter, he realized his child and his sister were shot.
At the hospital, police spoke to the female victim who stated she was 7 months pregnant and was in the Cleveland area visiting family. At the time of the shooting, she heard three shots, at least one breaking her door window and another hitting her right thigh.
Surveillance video from the gas station showed the suspect vehicle was a new model black Cadillac SUV with black rims. The suspect driver was described as being bald, wearing a gold button-down long-sleeve shirt.
Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact investigators at 216-623-5418.
