Shooting victim found by Good Samaritan dies

A man is dead after city officials say he was found with a gunshot wound by a Good Samaritan on Cleveland's east side early Sunday. 

According to a City of Cleveland spokesperson, the man was found around 2:41 a.m. near the intersection of East 55th Street and Superior Avenue. 

The Good Samaritan drove the shooting victim, identified as 27-year-old Taris Moore, to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead around 6 a.m.

City officials say there were no witnesses.

The Cleveland police homicide unit is investigating.
