Mother located after toddler found alone on Cleveland's east side

A Child Protective Services spokesperson said the mother of a toddler who was found wandering alone on the city's east side Sunday night has been located.

According to Mary Louise Madigan, Director of Communications for Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish, the girl was found in the area of East 78th Street and St. Clair Avenue in front of an abandoned home.

She was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center to be checked out. 

The toddler is estimated to be 14 or 15 months old. 

The girl is currently in state custody and authorities are investigating the incident. Information on possible charges is unavailable at this time.
