Two women at the apartment complex told responding officers that they found Adair left lying on the ground in her apartment hallway Saturday night. They told police they had all been drinking but took her to her apartment and attempted to keep her awake due to her injury.

However, when they all woke up around 9 a.m. Sunday, Adair was lying in a pool of blood and vomit.

The women told police that Adair and her boyfriend—Carlton Springer—had a big argument before they found her.

According to the report, a neighbor said she saw a man matching Springer's description leaving the apartment in a red van between 7:30 and 8 a.m.

Authorities say Springer and Adair had been living together for several months. He had just recently attempted to be added to Adair's lease.

Adair was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment but was pronounced dead on Monday.

On a GoFundMe page created to raise money for funeral expenses, family member say they are going to donate her organs to others in need.

An arrest warrant was issued for Springer on Sept. 9 on felonious assault charges. Police are still looking for the suspect. The case has been turned over to the Cleveland Police Homicide Unit.
