Public Square reopens after high winds cause Christmas tree to lean

CLEVELAND — Update: Public Square has reopened.

Cleveland police have issued a traffic advisory warning that Public Square is closed off to pedestrian and vehicle traffic following high winds.

The Christmas Tree at Public Square is leaning due to high winds. As a precaution, the square will be closed.

The Greater Cleveland RTA confirmed that buses 3, 22, 26, 38, 45, 51, 55, 79, 81 are being rerouted around Public Square to perimeter stops.

Crews are currently at the square setting up for this weekend's Winterfest, taking place on Nov. 30.
