Rashad Monroe was arrested on Wednesday and charged as a suspect in the shooting of a 17-year-old boy in Cleveland Heights, police reported.
On Tuesday around 1:50 p.m., a Cleveland Heights police responded to the area of 788 Quilliams Road on a report of a man with a gunshot wound.
When officers arrived, they said they discovered the victim, a 17-year-old boy, was taken to an area hospital by a family member. He was listed in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the back.
Police said an investigation revealed the victim was standing across the street from 788 Quilliams Road when he was shot by another man. A suspect in the shooting was questioned by officers about the incident.
On Wednesday, police arrested Rashad Monroe, 34. He was charged in Cleveland Heights Municipal Court with attempted aggravated murder and having weapons while under disability.
The incident is still under investigation.
