The Cleveland Cavaliers travel to San Antonio Tuesday night, having had a couple of days to reflect on Saturday's 148-124 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder at  Quicken Loans Arena.

148 points is the most any LeBron James team has ever allowed in a game and the most the Cavaliers have given up since December of 2002 when they were on their way to a worst in the league record and the NBA lottery where they would pick James.

At 27-18 James told reporters the wheels are still very much on the Cavs bus.

"I mean it could be worse, it could be worse, I mean we could be 15th in the East," James said Saturday.

For the record, the team is in third place in the Eastern Conference behind Boston and Toronto.

The team has lost 10 of their last 14 games after winning 18 of their 19 previous. That skid has dropped them to 10th place in the ESPN NBA Power index and trending down. The Basketball Power Index estimated the team's chances of winning the NBA title at just .3 percent. That's behind Philadelphia, Washington who are both .4 percent. Toronto leads the East at 17.1 percent with Boston coming in behind them at 6.2 percent.

The Golden State Warriors lead the index with their title probability at 54%.

The Cavaliers are used to these January freezes even if this one is a little colder. In 2015 first-year Head Coach David Blatt was able to stay in his job as rumors swirled over the team's ability to gel. On January 22, 2016, Blatt's luck had run out and he was replaced by Ty Lue.

LeBron said he's unaware of what conversations may be taking place at higher levels to right this ship.  "I don't know what's going to happen with our team, I have no idea what the conversations that have been going on. Me personally I've just been trying to stay as laser sharp as I can to keep my guys ready to go out and play."

James taking the opportunity to channel his inner Jim Mora, the former NFL head coach who once famously went off at a news conference where a reporter asked playoffs.

"Yeah we're not ready for the playoffs we can't ever start thinking about that, not the way we're playing right now," James said. "We can easily get bounced early in the playoffs if they started next weekend."
