Two men were assaulted outside of Lido Lounge early Thursday morning, Cleveland police reported.
Officers went to West 117th Street and Berea Road for a report of two men assaulted, according to Cleveland police.
When police arrived, two EMS units were already at the scene providing medical treatment to both victims before taking them to MetroHealth Medical Center.
Officers visited MetroHealth and spoke with one of the victims who said he and the other man assaulted were at Lido Lounge where they got into an argument with a group of unknown men over comments made towards the girlfriend of one of the victims.
The two victims were identified as Glen H. Keefer, 53, and Michael T. Mcgoon, 34. Keefer sustained multiple injuries and Mcgoon received lacerations to his face and head, police reported.
Keefer told police he and Mcgoon left the bar and were walking on West 117th Street when a car pulled up with the same unknown men from the bar inside it. One of the men got out of the vehicle and hit Keefer with a bat. Both Keefer and Mcgoon were then assaulted by the group.
This is an ongoing investigation.
In February, a man was shot in the parking lot of the Lido Lounge after an argument and physical fight regarding the difference between strips clubs in Ohio and Florida, authorities said.
