Veteran Cleveland police sergeant arrested for soliciting a prostitute

A veteran Cleveland police officer was arrested after allegedly soliciting a prostitute on Monday.

Sergeant Robert Strollo, 47, was charged with one count of soliciting, a first-degree misdemeanor.

He was booked into the Cleveland City Jail and released on bond Tuesday.

According to a police spokesperson, Strollo is assigned to the First District but is currently out on leave for an extended illness.

Strollo has been with the department since Sept. 28, 1998.

He is scheduled to appear in court on March 22.
