A high-speed chase and crash last week involving an alleged drug trafficker was captured on camera by an Ohio State Highway Patrol helicopter.
The driver, Robert Poole, 44, of Cleveland, was charged with fleeing/eluding, aggravated vehicular assault, drug possession and trafficking.
Around 7:47 p.m. on June 6, state troopers said they spotted Poole driving recklessly on Harvard Avenue in Cleveland. Poole fled, and a chase ensued until he crashed into another car, and his vehicle flipped over. Poole was found in possession of a large amount of cocaine, according to troopers.
Poole and the driver of the second car were both transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. Poole was taken into custody after he was released from the hospital, taken to the Cleveland City Jail and held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
