Bratenahl police have now charged taxi driver Antione Miller with driving while intoxicated and failure to control his vehicle after he sideswiped a police cruiser.
The entire incident was captured on police dash and body cameras.
Miller is out on a $5,000 bond and is set to appear in Cleveland Municipal Court on April 6.
Police told newsnet5.com Miller sideswiped O'Haire's cruiser while he was driving a passenger in his Ace Taxi.
Police report Miller failed a series of sobriety tests at the scene and was arrested without incident.
"He couldn't judge how far over I was is what he told me," said O'Haire. "I feel very fortunate that I wasn't injured. My wife was very happy to hear that I was fine."
"It's very surprising. He's the kind of person you expect to call when you're intoxicated to drive you home, and there he is impaired."
Ace Taxi management told newsnet5.com Miller has been fired from his job, and was using the taxi to transport a friend while off-duty, when the collision took place.
The accident caused more than $9.000 in damage to the Bratenahl cruiser. There were no injuries.
