Woman dies in Cleveland after cement truck tips over, crushes her SUV

CLEVELAND — A woman was killed in Cleveland Friday morning after a cement truck failed to make a turn, tipped over and crushed the vehicle she was in.

According to Cleveland police, the crash happened around 11 a.m. on MLK Drive.

Authorities say the Mack cement truck was heading north on MLK Drive when it tipped over during an attempted turn and landed on a Chevrolet Traverse.

The Traverse’s 35-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The 57-year-old cement truck driver was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
