Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 27-year-old woman who was dropped off at MetroHealth Medical Center over the weekend.
Officers first learned of Nichole Richards, of Cleveland, after she was found unconscious near the Newark Avenue and Fulton Road intersection Saturday night. At the time of the call, police said Richards was being driven to MetroHealth by a man who fled the area on foot immediately after dropping her off.
Richards had bruising on her neck and arrived at the hospital in full cardiac arrest.
Police believed violence contributed to Richards' death, which has not been ruled a homicide at this time. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner will determine how she died.
