CLEVELAND — A woman in a wheelchair was struck by a car as she crossed the street on Cleveland’s East Side Friday night, according to CMHA police.
A Black Acura was driving west on Central Avenue when it turned onto East 43rd Street. The driver did not see the woman in a wheelchair who was crossing the street and struck her, police said.
The woman was transported to University Hospitals with serious, life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The driver was not charged but received a citation for failure to yield, police said.
