2 women, 1 child injured in stabbing on Cleveland's East Side

CLEVELAND — Three people were stabbed during a fight that broke out in Cleveland’s Central neighborhood Saturday night, according to Cleveland police and witnesses on the scene.

Around 9 p.m., police were called to the 3100 block of Project Avenue.

Once on scene, officers found a 25-year-old woman with lacerations on her head and face , police said.

A 29-year-old woman with lacerations to her face and neck was also located at the scene.

EMS transported the women to MetroHealth hospital.

A child was also injured in the stabbing, suffering a laceration to her arm. EMS did not transport her to a hospital.

The 25-year-old woman told police that a third woman was at the house on Prospect Avenue and an altercation broke out between her and the 29-year-old in a separate room.

When the 25-year-old entered the room and saw the fight, she said she attempted to stop it, but the third woman had pulled out a razor, causing the injuries, police said

There were multiple children in the home at the time of the incident and all four witnessed the fight, according to police.

Alcohol was a factor in this incident, police said.

Police have not arrested the suspect at this time.

The incident is under investigation.
