Lifestyle guru and restaurateur B. Smith has died at the age of 70, according to her husband.
"It is with great sadness that my daughter Dana and I announce the passing of my wife, Barbara Elaine Smith," Dan Gasby shared on Facebook.
Smith had been battling Early-onset Alzheimer's. She died Saturday morning at her Long Island home.
Smith began her career as a model before opening up restaurants in New York City, Long Island and Washington, D.C.
She went on to host a lifestyle TV show, published several books and acted off Broadway.
Her signature tag-line "Whatever you do, do it with style!" is on display at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, the Facebook post said.
