Lots of local help and resources are being poured into Texas as residents there deal with the devastation and destruction brought on by Hurricane Harvey.

Coast Guard units across the Great Lakes are set to send additional personnel, flight crews, air boats and inflatable rescue crafts. They will join helicopters that were deployed last week ahead of Harvey's landfall.

The City of Stow is helping with disaster relief by holding a community diaper drive to aid families in Texas. The city will be collecting supplies to benefit the Texas Diaper Bankthrough Friday, September 22.

Diapers or money will be accepted at Stow City Hall. Donations will also be collected at the Council booth at Summer Sunset Blast on September 2 and 3.

The Texas Diaper Bank is requesting infant diapers of all sizes, toddler pull ups of all sizes, adult incontinence supplies - which are in high demand - and disposable hygienic wipes.

The Northeast Ohio chapter of the Red Cross is also reporting 16 local people are either in the storm area or en route to help.
