Mobile academic classroom brings WiFi, tutoring to Cleveland students

CLEVELAND — The COVID-19 pandemic has left many children learning from home, but a mobile classroom is bringing school to the student thanks to the BEST Community Resource Center.

Mobile Academic Classroom provides homeless, low-income families and senior citizens with internet access, tutoring and technology assistance.

The Mobile Academic Classroom provides high-speed internet services for over 200 students within 300 feet fo the bus at any one time. It also offers tutoring services, various STEM classes and music, art and foreign languages.

“It’s gonna be used for assistance with virtual learning during this pandemic since COVID-19 has everybody learning virtually. It can also be used to help families if they need to get their GED‘s or computer access whatever they need.”
