ASHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in Ashland County.
Troopers were called to U.S. Route 250 just north of mile post 4 around 11:15 p.m.
A 2013 Harley Davidson was driving northbound when it lost control, went off the left of the roadway and struck a wire fence.
The motorcycle then overturned and both occupants were ejected, according to troopers.
The passenger of the motorcycle, 47-year-old Tammy Stackhouse, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the motorcycle was air lifted to Metro Hospital with life threatening injuries.
The road was shut down for three hours while crews investigated.
