GREEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash.

Troopers said the crash happened Saturday night before 6:30 p.m. on State Route 39 just east of Township Road 749.

Kevin Jones, 61, was riding a 2006 Harley Davidson westbound on State Route 39, when he drove off the right side of the road and struck a metal guardrail.

After striking the guard rail, Jones was ejected from the motorcycle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers said drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played a role in the crash.

Jones was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to troopers.
