Seven people arrested for narcotics in Ashland

Ashland police, along with other law enforcement agencies, served a search warrant for narcotics at a location on Oakcrest Lane on May 13, resulting in the arrest of seven individuals. 

Authorities reported the case began after several citizen complaints were made in 2008, referring to possible drug activity at the residence. 

According to police, the following people were arrested during the warrant service:

  • Kelly L. Johnson, 39, of Ashland
    • Charged with possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of heroin, tampering with evidence
  • Vincent D. Ajian, 24, of Mansfield
    • Charged with tampering with evidence
  • Jonathan G. Ransom, 35, of Columbus
    • Charged with complicity to money laundering
  • Shasta A. Harrington, 36, of Columbus
    • Charged with complicity to money laundering
  • Burton L. Hester, 43, of Worthington
    • Charged with tampering with evidence
  • Robert C. France, 22, of Mansfield
    • Charged for a bond revocation relating to a prior possession of cocaine charge out of the Ashland Common Pleas Court
  • Lauren E. Andress, 27, of Ashland
    • Charged with obstructing official business.

While serving the search warrant, investigators seized more than 12 pounds of suspected marijuana, 2 pounds of suspected cocaine, 45 grams of suspected heroin, a loaded .380 handgun and over $60,000 in cash. 

Police said the estimated street value of the confiscated narcotics was approximately $150,000.00.
