MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred in Montgomery Township Sunday afternoon.

Around 1:57 p.m., a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling south on U.S. Route 42 when it drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a driveway access, ejecting the driver and the passenger.

The 68-year-old driver was transported to a nearby hospital, troopers said.

The 68-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, according to troopers.

Troopers said that alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash. Neither occupant was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, troopers said.

The crash remains under investigation.
