WAYNE TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Ashtabula Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating after a 51-year-old woman died in a crash on State Route 193 in Wayne Township Tuesday.
The crash happened at around 6:45 p.m. near mile marker 3 on State Route 193.
Terris Noel, 51, of Jefferson, was operating a black 2016 Ram 1500 truck in the northbound lanes of State Route 193 when it traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a driveway culvert. The vehicle then overturned several times before coming to a rest.
Troopers said Noel was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to Andover Hospital for treatment where she was pronounced dead.
Investigators said at this time it does not appear alcohol and/or drugs were involved.
