Ashtabula Co. Sheriff's Office trying to identify woman found dead in driveway

ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify an unknown female found face down in a driveway in the area of East 39th Street in Ashtabula Township, according to a news release.

A homeowner found the female in the driveway in front of a car at 6:33 a.m. on Tuesday.

The deceased female is described as being in her late 30s or early 40s. She stands at approximately 5 feet, 4 inches tall, with brown hair and was described as having heavy set build, according to the news release.

When she was found, she had on a sweatshirt with an “Eastside 22” logo, blue jeans and black and white Under Armour tennis shoes. She was wearing red-framed glasses.

The female also had a butterfly tattoo on her right abdomen hip area and a tattoo with the name “Chris” on her left abdomen hip area.

Her body was taken to the Ashtabula County morgue, where the sheriff’s office and coroner’s office are investigating her death.
