ASHTABULA, Ohio — Former Dancing with the Stars professional Maksim Chmerkovskiy visited Braden Middle School in Ashtabula earlier this month.
Chmerkovskiy helped the Youth for the Future club prepare for their upcoming half-time performance at the Erie Bayhawks game in March.
“The purpose of YFF is to give the students goals to strive for, expectations they know we see them achieving and that we believe in them. It’s as simple as that," said Joslin Seeds, the YFF volunteer advisor.
Chmerkovskiy spent the day speaking with the kids and teaching them how to dance.
He has won one Mirrorball trophy.
