According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol - Ashtabula Post, the crash happened just before 12:30 p.m. on State Route 193, south of I90.

Authorities said a 2011 International Work Star commercial tractor trailer, driven by a 61-year-old Illinois man, was making a left turn from a private drive off the west side of state Route 193 when he failed to yield to a Kubota RTV900, which was northbound on state Route 193, and struck the vehicle.

Richard E. Anderson, 72, of Kingsville, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The 61-year-old driver of the tractor trailer - and a 37-year-old occupant - were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Authorities said the RTV was not registered at the time of the incident.

Alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.

The crash is under investigation.
