AUSTINBURG, Ohio — The Corner Bar in Austinburg, located in Ashtabula County, was cited after agents from the Ohio Investigative Unit (OIU) observed violations of the Ohio Liquor Control Commission's curfew prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages after 10 p.m.

The Corner Bar was issued an administration citation regarding the limitation on hours for on-premises consumption. Agents said at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday a patron was seen standing in the doorway of the establishment consuming an alcoholic beverage.

Inside the bar, agents located approximately 10 patrons, all of which were seen consuming alcoholic beverages, and the bartender was in the act of pouring and serving additional alcoholic beverages, the OIU said in a release.

The case will go before the Ohio Liquor Control Commission for potential penalties, including fines and or the suspension of the revocation of liquor permits.
