CONNEAUT, Ohio — The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a missing boater after a squall swamped a boat on Lake Erie Saturday morning in Ashtabula County.
According to authorities, four individuals were on a boat about 10 miles off the coast of Conneaut when the boat they were on went through an isolated storm.
A good Samaritan that was fishing nearby helped three of the boat’s passengers, authorities said. The fourth individual has not been located.
The Coast Guard said it is still searching the area.
