EUCLID, Ohio — Two bars in Euclid have been cited for violating a state health order aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19.

According to the Ohio Investigative Unit, Scoreboard Tavern was cited for after-hours consumption—Rule 80 and hindering or obstructing inspection.

Authorities said that when agents went to the establishment around 11:40 p.m., they observed six to eight people still inside and most were holding or consuming an alcoholic beverage. Bar employees barred state agents from heading inside until the drinks were removed. Additionally, one customer was found hiding a beer under the bar.

The other bar, B Stone, also received a citation for after-hours consumption—Rule 80.

Agents went to the bar around 12:35 p.m. and saw around 15 people inside, which included one person drinking a beer, the OIU said.

That incident marks the second time state agents have cited B Stone for a similar infraction, according to the OIU. The bar was previously cited on Sept. 25.
