3 indicted in home invastion that killed man, 22

Three people have been indicted by a grand jury for their roles in a home invasion on Cleveland's east side that left a 22-year-old man dead.

Michael Townsend, Shawn Ladson and Roscoe Simmons III were indicted on an two counts of aggravated murder and one county of murder for killing Joshua Freeman during a July burglary in the 900 block of Wheelock Road.

The three were also indicted for aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, felonious assault, kidnapping and tampering with evidence.

Freeman was found with gunshot wounds inside the home around 2 a.m. He was pronounced dead at MetroHealth Medical Center.
