Four children were among the six people taken to the hospital with injuries after a crash in Parma Heights Wednesday evening.
According to police, a 46-year-old man was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer when he went left of center near Commonwealth Blvd and Pearl Road, hitting a 2005 Dodge Caravan head on.
A 30-year-old woman and four children--ranging in age from infant to 7 years old--were in the van. All of them were transported to MetroHealth Medical Center, as was the man driving the SUV.
Police do not have information regarding the conditions of the adults or children but officials say it appears the woman has a broken leg and one of the children suffered a broken collarbone.
Drugs and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash.
At this time, no charges have been filed.
