Police have confirmed a man died after being struck by a car during a hit-and-run on Thursday afternoon.
Louis Cheris, 61, of Cleveland, was struck by a vehicle around 12:30 p.m. in the area of W. 112th Street and Lorain Avenue.
Cheris was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where he was pronounced dead several hours later.
Police said witnesses described the vehicle as a 2006 black Pontiac with Ohio registration.
No further information has been released at this time.
