68-year-old man's death ruled homicide

The death of a 68-year-old man in his Cleveland Heights home Dec. 20 has been ruled a homicide, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner reports.

James A. Ruesch, 68, was found dead at 919 Caldonia Avenue. The autopsy has revealed that he died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head.

Police and firefighters were sent to the address to check on the man's welfare. Once they entered, they found Ruesch dead, lying face down in the kitchen of his apartment. 

The case was turned over to Cleveland Heights detectives.
