CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — The death of a woman who was found unresponsive in a bedroom by her children is being investigated as suspicious by the Cleveland Heights Police Department.
The woman has been identified as 33-year-old Crystal Smith, authorities said.
Tuesday around 11:55 a.m., authorities responded to an apartment in the 2500 block of Noble Road for an unresponsive woman after her children found her and called 911. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office, there were no signs of trauma, but a preliminary investigation indicates there are suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
