A Baldwin Wallace University freshman was injured while attending an honors program retreat, according to the university's website.

Brittney Bash, of Cincinnati, was attending the first day of the retreat at Hiram House Camp in Chagrin Falls when she became tangled up in a high ropes course on Monday.

The student was taken to Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.

Bash is in serious but stable condition.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured student and her family,” said BW President Robert W. Helmer.

Honors students have returned to campus where counseling services are available. The final two days of the retreat will take place on campus.
