MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Maple Heights.
The shooting happened around 5 a.m. on Hansen Road.
According to authorities, while officers were writing parking citations, they heard four gun shots fired and saw a vehicle heading towards them at a high speed.
Police said the vehicle was heading straight at the officers and was not slowing down.
The officers fired at the vehicle.
The vehicle crashed into the two police vehicles and the man was then taken into custody, according to authorities.
The man was struck by gunfire. He was transported to Metro Hospital, treated for non-life-threatening wounds, and released to police custody.
According to BCI, no officers were injured in the shooting.
