Posted

The National Weather Service issued a beach hazards statement for Lake Erie Tuesday.

The beach hazards statement is in effect from 11 a.m. through 2 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the NWS, there is a high swimming risk in the lake off Cuyahoga, Lake, Ashtabula and Erie counties due to a combination of wind and high waves.

The NWS says these risks could create life-threatening conditions for swimmers.
