Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cleveland launches free pickup service for donations

CLEVELAND — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cleveland has launched a new, free home-pickup service for clothing, shoe and home good donations through a website called DonateStuff.com.

Residents around Cuyahoga County can support Big Brother Big Sisters by scheduling a free pickup of gently used clothing, shoes and home goods.

As part of the program, there is a dedicated center to schedule free pickups. A fleet of a dozen trucks travels across Cuyahoga County to pick up donations of clothing and small household items.

“We are so excited to partner with DonateStuff.com! Just by scheduling a free-donation pick up, people around Cuyahoga County and help make a meaningful contribution to the lives of kids all over our area,” says Jessica Walters, President/CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cleveland, a former Little Sister herself. “Every child can benefit from having another caring adult in their corner, and the funds we raise through this partnership will directly sponsor more children to be paired with a Big Brother or Big Sister.”
