WESTLAKE, Ohio — Police are looking for a woman wanted for burglarizing vehicles in Westlake and is linked to a slew of thefts in other cities.

The most recent burglary happened on Monday around 8:30 a.m. outside a gym near Detroit and Bradley roads.

According to police, a gym patron discovered that her car's window was busted out and her purse was stolen.

The victim's credit cards were linked to the purchase of multiple gift cards at various drug stores.

Once police obtained security footage from the drug stores, authorities said that they linked the perpetrator to other incidents in neighboring communities.

Last week a similar burglary happened at the Cleveland Metroparks Bradley Woods Reservation.

A couple who parked their car and went for a walk returned to find their vehicle with a broken window, authorities said. A purse and wallet were missing from the vehicle.

Police determined that the burglar used the couples' credit cards to buy gift cards at local drug stores.

Anyone with information about the woman's identity is asked to call the Westlake Police Department at 440-871-3311.
