FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio — A 19-year-old was injured in a Fairview Park crash Friday, according to the Fairview Park Police Department.
Officers learned on scene that a driver had pulled out of West 227th Street to turn left on Brookpark Road, but pulled directly into the path of another vehicle traveling east on Brookpark Road, police said.
The eastbound driver swerved to try and avoid the vehicle that had pulled onto the road, but struck it, crossed the median and drove through the brick wall of condominium garages, according to police.
The 19-year-old driver of the vehicle that struck the garages was transported to a nearby hospital. The 79-year-old driver who pulled out onto Brookpark Road was not injured and was cited for failing to yield when turning left, police said.
