A car caused extensive damage when it crashed into a Highland Heights home early Tuesday morning and police say it all started with a traffic stop.
The crash happened around 5:15 a.m. near the intersection of Longspur and South Applecross roads.
Police say they found the 52-year-old driver sitting in her car in a nearby field about 15 minutes before the crash. They tried to talk to her but she took off.
She was speeding through the neighborhood when she hit a curb and went airborne into the house.
She was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Police do not believe she was intoxicated.
No one inside the house was injured.
