A cease and desist order has been issued for the East Cleveland nightclub that was the site of a deadly shooting early Wednesday.
The letter, sent to the club's owner, orders that operations at Dew Drop Inn cease and desist immediately.
A News 5 investigation found that East Cleveland police have responded to the club 24 times for violence since March 2016.
News 5 checked with the Ohio Division of Liquor Control and found East Cleveland and its law department never contacted state investigators about violence at Club Dew Drop, even though city police were called to the club two dozen times in 11 months.
Marvin Christopher Bryant, 19, has been arrested in connection with Wednesday's shooting that left 20-year-old Eric Howard dead.
Two others are still wanted in the case.
