A child was injured around 6:15 p.m. Saturday while at the Cleveland Metroparks toboggan chutes in Strongsville officials said. The incident happened in the Mill Run Stream Reservation.
Officials said the child was taken to Southwest General Health Center where they were treated and released.
The Cleveland Metroparks released the following statement:
Cleveland Metroparks deeply regrets that an injury has occurred on its premises, and we have reached out to the child and his family to provide appropriate support and assistance.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
The Ohio Department of Agriculture-Division of Amusement Ride Safety were at the reservation Sunday. They found no reason to close the chutes officials said.
Sunday is the last day of the toboggan chutes seasonal operation for 2016.
Metroparks officials said the safety of their guests and visitors continues to be our top priority.
