A Richfield man was sentenced to 6 1/2 years in prison for receiving child pornography, the Federal Bureau of Investigation reported.
Khalid Famer Black was sentenced to 78 months in prison. He pleaded guilty earlier this year to one count of receipt of visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Carole Rendon.
Black, 27, is the son-in-law of Richfield's mayor, Bobbie Beshara. The FBI executed a search warrant at the mayor's home last year. Black lived with Beshara and her daughter.
The mayor, FBI officials said, had absolutely nothing to do with the case. Beshara declined comment about the sentencing of Black.
