APL searching for animals rescued from home

Posted

The Animal Protective League is searching for pets who were rescued from a Maple Heights home Saturday.

Officers got a report about animals abandoned in the Granger Road home Saturday, but when they arrived, animal rescue groups had already taken many of the animals.

Greystone Veterinary Animal Rescue posted a GoFundMe campaign for the animals and said that 12 cats and 2 dogs were abandoned.

Two cats and a dog were turned into the Cleveland Animal Protective League, but the APL is still seeking information on any other animals that were taken from the home.

This will allow the APL to assess the animals, check on their well-being and decide whether charges are appropriate.

Anyone who has information about how many animals were in the home or who abandoned them is asked to contact the APL at 216-377-1610.
